Things to think about...

As of late, I have been quite obsessed with wedding planning. Yes I know, we don't have a date but I'm in love with the planning process. And as of late I've been thinking of Save the Dates. Yes!!! Save the dates are an awesome way to let you guest know to save your wedding date in the future.

There are so many great ideas and designs out there to chooses from. Anything from your standard invitation like save the dates to something more fun and interactive.

My favorites have to be the websites. I love the creativity the couple put into it and these aren't regular text based sites. Someone has to degree in web design and visual arts. Unfortunately I can find any of them nor do I remember on which site I saw them on but once I do find it I will make sure to update and share it with you.

Some of the more popular ones are postcards, magnets, tickets, and picture save the dates. The world is your oyster with these beauties.

Now personally I've been going through my head about on some STDs (short for save the dates, not the disease you sickos). I don't have the know how to create a website and I refuse to pay someone to do so.

Then there are the postcards.

I love the designs and they work great for the theme of our wedding, but I planned on doing something similar for the invitations. (FYI, we are having  a concert theme for our wedding. I know I haven't disclosed this yet in the blog, or at least I don't believe I have, but I figured I say something now just to give you a better idea on where I'm going with this.)

Then I saw a picture of a chipboard cd invitation.

These could definitely be an idea for our Save the Dates, but I already had ideas for cds so I didn't want there to be too much of the same thing. Then again I am getting on the right track and I do love the idea for a cd save the date.

Then it sparks. Save the Date Video!!! Put it on a dvd in a sleeve and send it out to our guest.

There are really some awesome Save the Date videos out there. Go to youtube and type in save the date and you will be surprised the amount of videos there are.

Put then that does cost money and even DIYing it will cost a good amount.

Well there is still time. More then enough since, again, we don't have a date and these are just ideas for right now. Once the time comes, I will be letting you know.

Until then, much love from Miss Crossbones!
